Buffalo, NY, USA — AMETEK Reichert®, a leading provider of diagnostic devices for eye care professionals, announces new enhancements to the Tono Vera® Tonometer, designed to improve ease-of-use, streamline training, and enhance the overall user experience in clinical practice.

The latest release introduces a series of usability improvements that make the Tono Vera platform even more intuitive for technicians and clinicians, while helping practices reduce onboarding time and maintain efficient workflows.

"Tono Vera was developed to provide fast, comfortable, and reliable intraocular pressure measurement," said Reichert Product Management Saloni Vardhan. "These latest enhancements further simplify operation, reduce training time, and help practices get the most from their investment."

New Practice Mode Simplifies Training

One of the most significant additions is a new Practice Mode, which allows users to simulate measurements without recording patient data and without using a probe, making it particularly useful for staff onboarding, training programs, and product demonstrations. This feature enables technicians and clinicians to become familiar with device operation, practice alignment techniques, and build confidence before performing live patient measurements.

Enhanced Notifications Improve Workflow

The updated user interface introduces new visual guidance to help users quickly identify device status and reduce common setup issues. Enhanced probe awareness proactively alerts users when a probe is not detected, while clear feedback is provided if probe deployment fails, enabling faster troubleshooting and more efficient issue resolution. These enhancements are designed to minimize user errors and improve the overall measurement experience.

Streamlined Device Interface

Additional user interface improvements include updates to device settings and system information screens, making important device information easier to access. The expanded system information page now includes details such as software version, serial number, device name, and measurement count.

Introducing ReichertSync® 2.0

Reichert also announces the launch of ReichertSync® 2.0, its EMR integration software that wirelessly transfers measurement data from Tono Vera to electronic medical record systems via Bluetooth®. The new version adds self-update capabilities to simplify software maintenance and help ensure users have access to the latest functionality.

Designed Around Practice Needs

These enhancements reflect Reichert's ongoing commitment to developing technology that improves efficiency, reduces training time, and supports positive clinical experiences for both providers and patients. By simplifying operation and strengthening connectivity, the latest Tono Vera updates help practices integrate tonometry more seamlessly into everyday workflows.
