AMETEK Foundation:

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center + AMETEK Reichert

Reichert has a long history of supporting Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, as represented by the Herd of Hope Blue Buffalo in front of our building. Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is a cancer research and treatment center located in Buffalo, New York. Founded by surgeon Dr. Roswell Park in 1898, the center was the first in the United States to specifically focus on cancer research. Dr. Roswell Park was also the first president of Spencer Lens Company, a predecessor to Reichert.

Many Reichert employees have been affected by cancer. Over the past two years, they have raised over $9,800, and have been granted matching contributions from the AMETEK Foundation of $7,055. The total funds raised for Roswell Park with the help of AMETEK is $16,858!

Roswell Park’s world-class scientists are leading the way in groundbreaking cancer research. The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) awards donor-funded grants and these grants support innovative projects across all departments, with over 500 studies funded in the past 30 years.

This weekend is The Ride for Roswell,  an annual cycling fundraiser for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center raising $4.8 million through nearly 7,000 riders. It's a community event that brings people together to raise money for cancer research and patient care programs, celebrate survivors, and honor those we've lost. Our employees are riding 20 miles to raise critical funds to support those grants. If you’d like to contribute, their donation pages are below. Thank you!
